The Charitable Emergency
Assistance Program
is our longest running
program that provides charitable
emergency assistance, counseling and
referrals for individuals and families
in our community in need of rent,
utilities, food, medications, medical
supplies, dental care, clothing and
transportation to specialized medical
facilities.
Its purpose is to support families and
individuals in the community who are in
need on an emergency basis and to
restore them to self-sufficiency.
The Charitable Emergency
Assistance Program is not an
entitlement-based program. We network
with local churches, organizations and
other agencies to assist or seek support
for those in need and actively
participate in fundraising events to
benefit our charity. We are
grateful to be the beneficiary of many
volunteer hours of service and donations
of financial assistance, food, clothing,
medical supplies and other items to help
us serve others. If you are
interested in making a financial
donation or to learn about how you or
your organization can help support this
program, please give us a call.
The charitable emergency assistance
office is based out of our
Buckingham Smith Assisted Living
Facility located at 169 ML King Avenue,
St. Augustine.
Types of
Assistance
Donations made to our agency go directly
to the client — no part of a donation
made goes towards any
administrative costs. The needs
presented to us are great and we remain
grateful for all the people who help
insure we are still here to help.
